Introduction
NaDEET is a non-profit trust in Namibia that focuses on environmental education through practical learning. The NaDEET Centre is located on the NamibRand Nature Reserve, where children and adult participants learn firsthand about sustainable living, biodiversity and the balance between humans and the environment. NaDEET aims to empower Namibians, particularly from underprivileged communities, to address environmental issues through accessible education, advocacy, and practical solutions for a sustainable future.

The Challenge
The NaDEET Centre is located within the NamibRand Nature Reserve, one of the most remote areas of Namibia. As a growing modern organization, with different types of connectivity needs through cloud computing platforms, a good and stable internet connection has become essential for their success. Communication and internet services represent a significant portion of their operating costs, so a reliable internet supplier is essential, especially as an NGO that is accountable for Donor funding.

The Solution
NaDEET addresses its communication challenges by partnering with Q-KON, a reliable ISP provider known for delivering satellite and connectivity solutions to remote areas. At NaDEET, the first Twoobii enhanced T3 Service was installed, ensuring reliable internet connectivity. This enables NaDEET to grow and operate in a modern setting, while still maintaining the remote location that makes the Centre so unique. Optimizing cloud platforms with offline capabilities and efficient data management will further reduce bandwidth demands.

“The Twoobii T3 service provides the best cost-to-solution ratio for our needs. The internet is working quite well for our office, and the staff link represents a significant improvement over our old system.”
