December is time for looking back, for reflecting on achievements and goals not reached and each of us experience this differently. We reached the end of the year from different perspectives and we look forward with different views.
For us at Q-KON it has been a been a most successful year with many milestones reached and we sincerely appreciate the support and guidance we received from customer, providers and business associates. We have come a long way in our quest to service Africa and we are painfully aware that this journey cannot be attempted alone. Q-KON Leads the introduction of LEO service for Southern Africa
Oneweb and Q-KON signs five-year agreement to distribute Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite connectivity services in Africa. This strategic five-year distribution agreement was finalized at the digital infrastructure event in South Africa this month, AfricaCom. It will enable Q-KON to unleash the power of OneWeb’s network in order to provide vital internet service and Wi-Fi backhaul to connect schools, hospitals, civil government and other fixed enterprise and fintech services throughout the continent including banking, mining, and backhaul solutions. Team Spotlight: Chris Thiart completes iDirect iQBC Training in Belgium
Q-KON and Twoobii Service Team Leader, Christ Thiart, recently embarked on his first overseas trip ever, to Belgium to complete iDirect IQBC training. Chris was one of four delegates completing the training hosted by the trainer, Essam Ali. The training was held in a small town called Sint-Niklaas, which is famous for its chocolate, pastries and beer and which has unique weather patterns with its long, cold, windy winters as well as long nights and short days. Chris passed the training with flying colors and can now bring his knowledge back to the services team in Southern Africa to help take the team from strength to strength.
