LEO services like Starlink are booming – what comes next will be trickier
The global Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite industry is rapidly expanding, with operators like SpaceX’s Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb already serving Africa. As more companies prepare to enter the market, these satellites offer high-performance, low-cost connectivity. However, their standard services often don’t meet the specific needs of niche markets, such as Africa’s enterprise sector. To address this, Eutelsat OneWeb and Q-KON developed the Twoobii LEO Smart Network, combining global LEO advantages with tailored solutions for African businesses. This approach offers a promising way to meet local demands while leveraging the global scale of LEO networks.

Connecting Sustainability: Twoobii T3 Powers NaDEET’s Growth
NaDEET is a non-profit trust in Namibia that focuses on environmental education through practical learning. The NaDEET Centre is located on the NamibRand Nature Reserve. NaDEET aims to empower Namibians, particularly from underprivileged communities, to address environmental challenges through practical learning. Reliable internet is vital for its growth and donor accountability. NaDEET partnered with Q-KON by installing the first Twoobii enhanced T3 Service, ensuring stable connectivity. This enables the organization to operate effectively while optimizing cloud platforms to reduce bandwidth needs and operational costs.
