ST Engineering iDirect Unveils AI-Powered Network Analytics Platform for Satellite Operators
ST Engineering iDirect is redefining satellite network operations with its new AI-powered network analytics platform demonstrating how predictive analytics, real-time insights, and anomaly detection are empowering operators to anticipate and resolve network issues before they escalate.
By analyzing both historical and live data—such as weather patterns—the platform enables proactive interventions that minimize downtime and optimize performance. In a recent real-world validation, Q-KON used the platform to identify and correct an installation anomaly before it caused service disruption, improving both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Seamless Connectivity in the Heart of Remote Namibia
Black Thorn Films, a Namibia-based production company specialising in wildlife and nature documentaries, operates in some of Namibia’s most challenging environments. During a recent project, the team faced connectivity limitations at their base camp due to minimal mobile coverage and an unstable connectivity. To restore reliable communications, Oblixx Communication Networks, together with Q-KON, deployed a Twoobii T3 Ka-band VSAT solution with an optimised Wi-Fi setup. The upgraded system delivered fast, stable connectivity—enabling seamless data uploads and dependable communication throughout the project.

Team Spotlight: Great Partner Event at AfricaCom!
Q-KON joined AfricaCom this year and hosted an informal lunch event at a nearby hotel in partnership with Intellian and Eutelsat. We brought together our channel partners for an open panel discussion and a broader industry conversation about the evolving role of satellite in today’s connectivity landscape. The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships with our partners and vendors. With insightful discussions and networking – what a great event for the teams of Q-KON, Intellian and Eutelsat!
