200Mbps and more
Mining, forestry, construction, many industrial plants and operations are located at remote sites, and all operations require high-capacity resilient always-on connectivity solutions to support operational cloud-based applications. For these operations the connectivity is often fibre links or high-capacity microwave links or if the operations are shorter term or have ad hoc deployments the connectivity will be microwave.
In both scenarios The Twoobii-Oneweb LEO satellite service can add much needed link resilience either as a standby for fixed infrastructure or as a primary service to ad hoc site deployments. While the OneWeb service is ideal for rapid deployment, low-latency services and pay-as-you-use commercial models the maximum service per OneWeb circuit is 145Mbps / 30Mbps and this is not sufficient for many operations.
430Mbps low-latency solution
Using the Peplink Speedfusion communication router Q-KON developed a 3-way link bonding solution to aggregate 3 individual OneWeb circuits and implement a total of 430Mbps / 90Mbps link service.
How the solution works
The solution combines three key components:
- Twoobii OneWeb LEO Services that provides the individual satellite access links.
- Peplink SpeedFusion unit that seamlessly bond the 3 individual links into a seamless aggregated link.
Key Benefits
- Built-in resilience: Traffic continues over the remaining links if one is interrupted.
- Low-latency LEO: Supports real-time applications such as video, remote desktop, and cloud tools.
- Scalable: Add capacity as your demand grows
The trial demonstrated that Twoobii OneWeb delivers seamless live video transmission across diverse and challenging terrains, consistently outperforming LTE in areas prone to congestion, coverage gaps, and interference.
For broadcasters, OneWeb is not merely a backup option, but a viable primary connectivity platform—providing a robust, field-ready solution that enhances operational resilience, supports consistent live newsgathering and future-proof mobile broadcast workflows.
