Introduction
In the sweltering heat of the African Sun in a little Town called Parys in the Free State, hundreds of people gathered for the annual Livestock Expo. The Expo allows livestock producers and industry suppliers to network, compete, and attend a variety of shows, seminars, workshops.
A total of 134 breeders brought their animals to ALFA. Visitors could also view pigs, dogs, horses, rabbits, chickens and even fancy pigeons, clothing stalls. As many as 5 813 visitors visited stands.
The Challenge
Each year, the Expo has struggled to find a reputable service provider for internet connection. Due to live online Auction taking place at the Expo a reliable connection was required. Having a live auction enabled farmers not to travel to the Expo. They would bid 24/7 and were able to view hundreds of livestock online. Word of “Free Wi-Fi” spread throughout the store owners.
The Solution
Twoobii is a Satellite Broadband service. This particular dish is a mobile satellite dish which was transported to Parys for the Expo. Sadly, this was the last Parys Annual Expo. On a good note, Twoobii received many compliments from stall owners, farmers and event organisers throughout the expo.
