Namibia has officially launched Eutelsat’s OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite service through Q-KON’s Twoobii-OneWeb platform, delivered locally by Echo Namibia and OCN. The launch follows a rigorous evaluation process by the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN), positioning the service as a fully compliant, authorised LEO solution designed to bridge the digital divide across key sectors including schools, government facilities, banking, mining, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and tourism. To meet CRAN’s stringent compliance standards, Eutelsat adapted its service delivery structures to ensure seamless integration of the global OneWeb network into local operational frameworks, enabling a reliable, enterprise-grade connectivity solution that is already being deployed by Echo Namibia and OCN.
